On Thursday, July 6, 2026, Al-Salvador Park was officially inaugurated following its comprehensive rehabilitation and renovation in Al-Khasaf neighborhood, Seera District – Aden.
The activity was funded by the European Union (EU), in partnership with CARE International, and implemented by the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation (PCDF) under the project “Gardens of Peace: Promoting Community Safety through the Rehabilitation of Public Spaces in Seera District.”

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jaradi, Director of Seera District; Mr. Essam Wadi, Director of the Associations Department; Eng. Saleh Al-Rada’i, Director of the Parks Department; and Ms. Thikra Othman, Representative of RGH Consulting Company, along with several representatives from relevant local authorities and partner organizations.

During the event, participants reviewed the renovation and improvement works, which included upgrading internal facilities, implementing necessary reinforcements, and conducting essential maintenance, aiming to enhance the park’s appearance and restore it as a safe and attractive public space for children, families, and the local community.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the park was officially handed over to the Cleaning and Improvement Fund to continue supervision and maintenance activities, as part of the joint efforts to develop public spaces and enhance the environmental and aesthetic aspects of the district.

It is worth noting that the Gardens of Peace Project aims to promote community cohesion, social well-being, and mental health by rehabilitating public spaces into safe and inclusive environments that provide families and children with accessible areas for recreation and community engagement.
