The Psychiatric Developmental Care Foundation holds a lecture entitled "Mental disorders associated with multiple sclerosis patients and how to provide psychological support to them"
On February 10, 2022, in partnership with the Yemeni Society for the Care of Multiple Sclerosis Patients, and in the presence of the Minister of Human Rights, Mr. Ali Al-Dailami and Mr. Muhammad Al-Mathwari from the Cabinet, a lecture entitled “Mental disorders associated with multiple sclerosis patients and how to provide psychological support to them” was held by the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation. in the hall of the Yemeni German Hospital in Sana'a Governorate.
Where the psychologist Shaima Al-Hajj spoke about the importance of mental health for patients with multiple sclerosis and the mechanisms of mental health deterioration. She also explained the mental disorders associated with multiple sclerosis patients, and also identified the dangerous psychological stages that patients may go through if they are not treated in the early stages of their disease.The role of the family and the physician following the patient in providing psychological support to the multiple sclerosis patient and alleviating psychological distress was also discussed.
The lecture targeted 150 beneficiaries.
