Community Empowerment for enhancement of education and protection for children under conflict situation , Yemen
PCF, funded by Accept International, implemented the “Community Empowerment Project for Enhancement of Education and Protection for Children under Conflict Situation in Taiz City, Yemen.” The project targeted Al-Khansa’a School and Aqaba bin Nafi School, which had suffered significant damage due to armed clashes in the area, resulting in the suspension of education at the school since March 2015. PCF restored and renovated Aqaba bin Nafi School, provided the two schools with furniture, and supplied essential educational materials, benefiting 978 students. PCF conducted a Training of Trainers (TOT) program in psychosocial support and life skills for 28 social workers and teachers. Additionally, PCF implemented psychological support workshops for children and Child Protection Committees were formed in the targeted schools These committees work to identify key challenges in child protection, propose solutions, and participate in their implementation to improve the child protection sector.
