Community Empowerment for enhancement of education and protection for children under conflict situation , Yemen

PCF, funded by Accept International, renovated Aqba ibn Nafi' school, equipped Aqba ibn Nafi and Al-Khansa schools with furniture, and provided essential supplies and educational materials for 978 students. To enhance the school community's capacity to address students’ psychological and social challenges, 15 educational staff members were trained on psychosocial support skills and 13 in life skills. Child protection committees were formed in both schools to ensure a safe environment. An intensive program was implemented to build life skills for 250 students, accompanied by a variety of workshops and activities designed to support their mental and social well-being. Moreover, an art exhibition was organized to showcase students' talents, and an intensive awareness session on child protection was conducted, involving a group of educational staff, parents, and local leaders in the schools.
